Gababee’s appreciation for Rajasthani craft, the project reimagines traditional artistry through a line of collectible toys that spark imagination and storytelling. Each toy captures the tactile and visual charm of Bandhani — playful forms, dotted patterns, and handcrafted details that invite curiosity and connection.
Rooted in Rajasthan’s vibrant craft heritage, Bandhani is a traditional Indian tie-and-dye technique where fabric is intricately tied into small sections before dyeing. The process creates rhythmic patterns of dots and waves — each symbolizing patience, precision, and artistry. Known for its vivid colors and delicate motifs, Bandhani embodies celebration, identity, and craftsmanship that transcends generations.
Sustainability is woven into the process through the use of katran (fabric scraps) as the inner filling, replacing synthetic and natural cotton. This not only reduces waste but also adds a sense of authenticity and warmth to the design.
The collection reflects the essence of Gababee — playful, thoughtful, and rooted in craft — where every piece becomes more than a toy; it becomes a story of culture, creativity, and conscious design.
